Arms of Benedict with Tiara on Refashioned Portable Throne

  1. Pope Benedict's coat of arms on that chair are not new in the sense that they were just added recemtly. When that chair was re introduced by Guido Marini a few years ago, Pope Benedict's coat of arms were added at that time (NLM website noted this at the time). It was around the time that the tiara was used on the drape from the pope's window and on some vestments. Fr. Lombardi was made aware of this and had a cow and the tiara was removed on the drape and the vestments and replaced with the miter, but it was never replaced on the chair or the gold leafed pre dieu that was made with Benedict's coat of arms.

  2. Yes, I think it was 2008 when this was fashioned. I meant new as in added to an already old chair.

  5. Midnight Mass 2012. He often drinks during events, only Mons. Georg usually stands in front of him so as to block the view.
