Last Photo Taken of Living Pius XII: the Passing of a Saint

An inappropriate, and in many ways unique, photo taken by the personal physician of Pius XII, Dr. Riccardo Galeazzi-Lisi, just before the Holy Father passed away. This and other such images were sold to the press by the same troubled doctor.

  3. I don't see why it is inappropriate when the Vatican is full of images of the dying Christ.

  4. It was a betrayal. The doctor wasn't doing his job he was looking to make money off of his atient.

  5. How disgusting that his doctor did this-all for a 'buck' (or 'lira' as it was back then)!

How about giving the ailing Holy Father some dignity and privacy in his last days?

Would this be considered unethical, a betrayal of the doctor-patient relationship?
